We are partnering with a leading organisation in content production and distribution; home to over 100 production companies across 15+ territories. The group represents some of the biggest global success stories.
About the Role:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will work with the International Production and Procurement Community to continue to develop Preferred Supplier Lists and to drive usage of preferred suppliers.
It will focus on implementing systems for supplier communication, contract management through onboarding, renewals and terminations.
You will report into the Head of Global Procurement and Corporate Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement potential savings, including new ways of working learnt from across the group.
- Develop a working relationship with other operational departments. Not limited to local procurement, Information Technology, HR, Facilities, Creative networks, Legal and Production.
- Develop systems for contract management and Supplier management that can be deployed across the group.
- Research and inform on new innovations and solutions to bring production and operational efficiencies, including areas such at Technology and ESG.
- Implement system to track and communicate with all main production suppliers. That can be used across Procurement required.
- Work with Head of Finance to develop system to track spend data and savings across the group.
- Driving sustainability strategy across supply base to aid the reduction of our emission and drive the implementation of Supplier code of conduct for all suppliers across the group.
- Direct and drive the improvement of the management of suppliers, ensuring optimised value and quality is obtained at the required service levels.
- Develop strategic relationships with all key suppliers and where required develop new supply chain for use across the labels and Opcos.
- Ensure supplier management is aligned with strategy through collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Drive cost savings and improved supplier performance through consolidation of requirements and by negotiating contracts of significant size and risk.
- Act as an escalation point for contractual issues and poor performance.
- Monitor and report on value and quality delivered by all suppliers to all areas of Group, especially through increased implementation of standard Service Level Agreements.
- Drive the Sustainability targets across the supply chain and be and expert in this field for group supplier and deals.
- Support the development of Procurement tools, Practices and Policy across the labels.
- Support the insurance team in delivery of the global insurance program.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- MCIPS preferred but not essential.
- Procurement experience within a Media/ Production environment.
- Knowledge of supplier management tools and techniques to reduce and eliminate supplier dependencies and leverage position for improved values.
- Understanding of contractual clauses, contract law and remedies.
- Demonstrated ability in defining, developing, and implementing strategy and programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven experience of working with people at all levels, including senior management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with track record of forging highly effective business relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to create a structured plan when faced with informal or ambiguous business processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to implement and deliver projects in a timely manner.
- Maintain a high level of personal and professional integrity.
Hybrid working (3 days per week in the office).
