Description:

This is a short term interim assignment for our global management consultancy client, ideally on-site in Jakarta but with some flexibility on this. The contract will initially be for 3 months and you’ll be required to give 8-10 hours a week of your time.

Project Brief:

TECHNOLOGY

  • Identify pain points and key opportunity areas within the client’s procurement process for digitization / automation.
  • Assess best-fit solution structure (e.g., buy vs build, single E2E solutions vs. ecosystem of solutions).

OPERATING MODEL

  • Review current maturity in overall Procurement organization.
  • Identify potential improvements in terms of structure, processes, talent (incl. capabilities), and governance.

VALUE CAPTURE

  • Assess the client’s current spend cube and opportunities / levers for cost reduction.

Contractor Role:

Be the technical expert and work with internal & client teams to review Procurement tools, processes, org structure, talent, governance, and spend.

Contractor Profile:

  • Experience managing technology in Procurement in a financial services environment (e.g., familiar with digital tools and procurement systems).
  • Experience managing Procurement in a financial services environment across different categories (e.g., building / real estate, IT / Tech, other general items).
  • Understanding of best practices in Procurement in terms of processes & tools, org structure & ways of working, spend optimization.
  • Seniority / Years of experience: 5 years, preferably Head / VP / Director level
  • Language requirement (if any): English, Indonesian (preferable)

Nice to have:

  • Ability to provide industry benchmarks to support decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of technology requirements, key features, and system capabilities for Procurement platforms.
