Our client has been (and continues to be) a leading clinical healthcare provider for the last 50 years. They are now looking to recruit a new Vendor Manager as part of organisational change and transformation.

The Commercial Vendor Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing vendor management best practice throughout the Facilities Management Service Provision (Hard & Soft Services) across all several operating sites in the UK.

Working in partnership with the wider Procurement, Operations and Health & Safety teams and business stakeholders, the Commercial Vendor Manager will provide ongoing oversight of key strategic vendors to deliver long term operational efficiency and financial benefits, whilst minimising business risk.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Managing the performance of key strategic vendors (including Contact Compliance, Contractor Performance, KPI Dashboards, Stakeholder Satisfaction, and Cost Control).
  • Ensuring vendor compliance with company standards (including Statutory Compliance, Contractor Performance, and ESG Improvements).
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers (including Aged Assets Profile, Legal Compliance, Cost Control, and Process Improvement).
  • Managing vendor purchase order and billing processes for cost control (including Purchase to Pay Compliance, Contractor Performance, Cost Control, and Value for Money).

Enablers to the Role (Skills, Knowledge, Experience):

  • Educated to Degree Level in a Business or Engineering related field (desirable)
  • MCIPS or working towards MCIPS status (desirable)
  • Vendor Management Experience  
  • Facilities Management Sourcing Experience
  • Basic understanding of Facilities Management operations and technical requirements (RAMS, Permit to Work, SFG20, HTM Standards, Waste Disposal etc)
